In its many forms, visual design is crucial to delivering the message of a project.

Visual design is not so much a set of principles or serious rules as it is a way of thinking. I have always been a visual thinker. I see concepts as patterns or blocks of information. When I think of explaining a program, I see the paragraphs and titles before I start to write them. When I hear of a new project, I instantly start to sort out the colors and shapes that would make a good logo for it.
